My Weekend in Pictures: Dinner, a Concert, and Assignments

Hopefully you all had a great weekend! I was busy working on assignments for fieldwork but found the time to have a nice dinner with some friends, go see a concert in Camden, NJ and visit my dad who had knee replacement surgery a few days ago. Looking forward now to having Wednesday off for July 4th!

Here’s some highlights from my weekend:

The fish special at Seraphina. So pretty!

Fruit tart for dessert! Yum!

Saturday night Karl and I went to go see Brad Paisley in concert in Camden, NJ. On our way there we accidentally got lost and ended up in Philadephia, which is literally a 5 minute drive over a bridge to Camden. So it wasn’t as bad as it seems! We ended up still getting there on time and had amazing seats.

VIP seats for the Brad Paisley concert!

Scotty McCreery from American Idol, one of the opening acts. He was so good!

So close to the stage, thanks to fan club tickets. Now this is how to watch a concert..

It was like 100 degrees at the concert, but we were having a great time

The Band Perry, the second opening act

The Band Perry all together

And here’s Brad with his cool projection screen thing!

My favorite guitar of his <3

Serenading the crowd. I wish he was singing just to me haha

Its not a country music concert without some USA pride and American flags!

Brad Paisley always puts on a good show, I think this is the fourth concert of his I went to. It was amazing! He never lets me down :) He’s just so fun and sings a good mix of old songs with new ones, slow ones with fast ones. Plus since I am in the fan club my seats are always amazing which makes the show so much more worth it.

Today I continued to work on my assignments but also visited my dad in his rehab facility because he is recovering from knee surgery. He’s doing great thankfully and I’m happy he finally did this, it was long overdue. Good thing I’m an occupational therapy student too, I can actually help him!

Tell me about your weekend!
Do you like country music? Who is your favorite?
What was the last concert you went to?

  1. That dinner looks amazing! Looks like you had a great time at the concert…awesome seats! I think the last concert I went to was DMB quite a few years ago. I like some country music but I’ve only really listened to Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood…and some of their stuff sounds more country/popish, lol. I went to visit my family this weekend in Upstate NY. I hope your dad has a smooth recovery! :)

  2. Those are great seats. What an awesome show! I hear great things about Brad’s concerts, and I know everyone was excitd when he perfromed in Wrigley Field last month. Wishing your dad a good recovery from what I am guessing is a total knee!!!

  3. Looks like you had some great seats! Country music is one of the two genre’s (other is rap) that I really just don’t like to listen to. I’ve gotten used to it as people I know like it but I’d never put it on willingly. My weekend was spent relaxing and having fun at cookouts….and getting over 30 mosquito bites, awesome right? Hope your dad has a good recovery!

  4. That food looks amazing! I love a beautiful presentation :D I actually find that I like country more now that I’m older. The band perry is one of my favs :D
