Hope you all had a great weekend Mine was really nice and relaxing (much needed!). I got in some biking and two 3 mile runs! And today I went to an intense spin class. Getting my fitness on! My sisters also came to spend the night at my apartment on Saturday so its safe to say we had an awesome time as usual when we are all together.
On Saturday Karl and I took a bike ride to the South Street Seaport just to walk around. We discovered a Beer Garden there called Beekman Beer Garden that serves drinks and food. They also have a sand beach with lounge chairs, pool tables, ping pong, and music! While the food wasn’t my favorite, its good for drinks and hanging out, plus it has a view that isn’t too shabby either.
I’ve also decided that this weekend was the last time I’ll be biking over the Brooklyn Bridge. Because of all the construction they are doing, its a deathtrap! People don’t pay attention and there’s horrible bikers all over. So I was almost across the bridge when a teenage kid came swerving at me and knocked me into the construction wall. I KOed on the bridge and got pretty banged up (as well as my poor bike). Next time, its the Manhattan bridge for me!
To cheer me up, Karl got me a cupcake from my favorite store (Magnolia is the number one) and made me some awesome pizza. He’s a master chef, I swear.
After a nice dinner, my sisters came to hang out for the night. We had a low-key night so we had some drinks on my roofdeck and played the best game ever.. Pictionary! Always a good time. Take a gander at these fantastic drawings..
Luckily my sisters are always willing to work out with me so we all had some fun at the gym on Sunday. There’s a random punching thing that looks like a man in the gym that I’ve wanted to try out, but was too embarrassed to do alone. But we were alone at the gym and decided this was the time to try it out. I have to say: so. much. fun!
Well that’s sort of a summary of my weekend. I didn’t get to see Batman yet so don’t tell me any details! Its on my list
