Three Things Thursday

Sorry I’ve been neglecting you all, fieldwork has been kicking my butt this week! Pure craziness. But I love my Thursday posts and couldn’t miss it. I’ll catch up on my blogging this weekend too, I promise, and check up on all the awesome blogs I read. I miss you guys! Hope your weeks are going well, tell me about em below!

Here’s my three things…

1. My July Foodie Pen Pal package came in the mail :) YAY!! I am allowed to share what I got in the last day of the month (according to the official rules) so you will all just have to wait, but I have to say this is another good one! The people who I’m getting matched up with rock. Last month it was Britt and this month was Maya. I am one lucky girl.

This is SUCH an awesome program and I suggest you try it. Its a great way to meet people and also to try new foods. Some of the items I wouldn’t have tried on my own either, but am so glad I was able to try them because I’ve fallen in love! Check it out :)

The Lean Green Bean

2. I had a nice girls night out dinner the other day with my classmates who I haven’t seen in a while since we all started fieldwork at different places. We went to a place called Brooklyn Fish Camp in Park Slope and had a great time. I had never heard of this restaurant before but am so glad we went, I have to go back here like ASAP. Everything was really fresh and high quality.

One of the appetizers.. Clams! I usually am not a fan of these but they were amazing!

The food was incredible and we had a nice time catching up! Plus I finally got to eat some seafood which I haven’t had in a while! LOVE!

Yummy shrimp!

The token blogger photo, because it just has to happen. My friends understand.

If you are ever in Park Slope, check this place out. Plus they have outdoor seating which I’m planning on trying when the weather cools down. I don’t like to eat when I’m really hot!

3. Since Thursday posts are always random, I wanted to share with you all some funny/random search terms that lead people to my blog recently. Some of them I have NO idea how Google decided were relevant to my blog, but honestly it gives me some good laughs. Here’s a few:

  • i run it like a mojo
  • not a treadmill but not an elliptical
  • can kale help pain in ur feet
  • stay cool today (who even Google’s this?!)
  • how i spent my lucky day
  • is it good to run only one mile everyday
  • mile pace for 27:25 in 10000 meters
  • running gate look like i’m walking

So yeah, you can see why I love reading these. My favorite is the kale one by far, its so confusing for me! Whats your favorite?

Okay, here’s some three things questions!

Three TV shows you can’t wait to start again:
1. Dexter
2. Fringe.. last season!
3. Hart of Dixie (yup, I watch this. Don’t judge)

Three reasons I like fall/winter over the summer:
1. Running outside in layers when its cool
2. Skiing
3. Comfy sweaters and cuddling when its snowing

I miss skiing!

Three goals for this weekend:
1. Run at least a little bit Friday-Sunday
2. Celebrate with my sister after her big Med School exam
3. Sleep in past 7 (hopefully)

Hoping I can sleep like this little guy this weekend..

  1. I love 3 Things Thursdays :) Uh, sadly (or maybe not so sadly…ahem) I get hits for either “Mom being naughty”, “Naughty Mom” or “Being Naughty with my Sister” every. single. day. I hope by posting this in your comments that SEO will catch this and you, too, will have the fun and pleasure of knowing that some porn seeking peeps are daily disappointed with their findings ;)

    • Hhahahah those searches honestly are hysterical. Glad you shared them here now, those dirty googlers will be sadly disappointed when they reach our running blogs. The funny thing is too that you get that every day!

  2. I don’t have anything crazy this week for blog searches, but I do have someone searching Abs Hurt When I Run, like every week since I made the post. I am waiting for the new season of Dexter too. Love that show!

  3. Haha I like “i run it like mojo” – what does that even mean??
Three random things about my day – my internship gave me a thermos as a going away present; I took my friend to Trader Joe’s and now he’s a convert, and I painted my nails hot pink – random enough?

    • Haha no idea, its SO random! People are so weird in what they search for online. Glad you shared the TJs love with your friend, its the best store every made in my opinion! YAY for hot pink nails, mine are pink too and its the best summer color :)

  4. I love your Thursday posts…and I am with Emma…the “I run it like a mojo” is my favorite, lol…so random. Three reasons I like fall over the summer: best running weather, foliage, pumpkin/apple picking/cider/cider donuts. I hope you’re able to have a relaxing weekend and HAPPY FRIDAY…I know you’ve been looking forward to it since your week has been so hectic!

  5. Have a great weekend! One search on my blog was “Girls with Peg Legs”. So creepy right?! lol.

  6. My favorite blog search this week was “booty jogging” lol. Oh, and I watch Hart of Dixie too!

  7. I prefer the fall over summer. It is the perfect season here and includes apple picking, one of my faves!

  8. I think “run it like a mojo” is interesting. Don’t even know what that means! haha

I like fall over summer because I love just being able to wear a sweater or long sleeve shirt, apple cider, and the beautiful fall colors when the leaves change!

  9. I feel so much better seeing that these commenters get creepy/dirty search terms all the time. Every week I get a reader or 2 who was hoping to stumble across something very different than a post extolling Lululemon yoga pants when they Googled “visible panties” or something to that effect. Grosses me out every time though!

  10. what’s your job??? I used to be a fisheries tech and so whenever I hear “field work” I get excited! lol

and I love the search terms that bring people to my blog. The best day was when someone found me by searching “Hot MILF” :) hello!

    • I’m actually an occupational therapy student working in a hospital! Haha its called fieldwork but its more like an internship I suppose.

Haha love the Hot MILF search!! Thats too funny.. I love reading the search terms.

  11. you dinner looks AMAZING!
3 shows i cant wait to start again
    1) Sons of Anarchy (my fav show my far)
    2) east bound and down (if they decide to do a 4th season still not sure if they are)
    3) i am still waiting for them to bring back Arrested Development lol

    have a great weekend!

  12. Def miss seeing you in Bloggyland!! Hope Clinical is going good for you! :) I love the “searches” that linked to you! I’ve been wanting to do that on a post, but you def have me beat haha!

  13. One of my favorite searches that has led to my blog is “no toenail left” hahaa! That one cracks me up! I can’t wait for fall and winter! They are by far my favorite seasons!

  14. Really, kale helping foot pain? I don’t think I would ever think of googling that! I can’t wait to run with some layers on – it is going to be the bomb dot com.

  15. Hhaha I love seeing the random search terms that people use to find my blog! SO entertaining. :) OK, so Brooklyn Fish Camp is like 4 blocks from us and we still haven’t gone (terrible). You make me want to go ASAP!

  16. I definitely need to try out that restaurant! Looks delicious!

As for TV shows I can’t wait to come back on – I’m right there with you on Hart of Dixie (I even got my husband hooked!!) then probably Game of Thrones & Sons of Anarchy…although I could probably name a lot more! I watch too much tv :)

    • If you are a seafood person, you will love it! So good.

My boyfriend is hooked on Hart of Dixie too haha, hes the one who remembers that its on and records it! Game of Thrones is another good one, I forgot that. I like so many shows too, especially in the fall the TV is so addicting!
